Mr. Sant’Albano started his career in Investment Banking and has a unique global management expertise across various sectors due to the leadership roles he has held. He first worked as a Fixed Income Trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert (New York, London and Madrid) after leaving University, then spent a few years at Bear Stearns & Co. in the Emerging Markets Corporate Finance Group, before joining the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of CS First Boston.

At CSFB, Mr. Sant’Albano was involved in mergers & acquisition transactions in the U.S., Latin America and across Europe. In his 12-year career he became Head of EMEA M&A as well as Chief Operating Officer. He was involved in over $100 billion M&A transactions across the globe.

In 2006, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Agnelli family investment company EXOR SpA and played a leading role in the merger of IFIL Investments and IFI to create EXOR in 2009 (Net Asset Value: $15 billion). Mr. Sant’Albano was a member of several boards including EXOR (Italy), Fiat Group (Italy), Cushman & Wakefield (USA), Vision Investments (Hong Kong), Juventus F.C. (Italy), SGS S.A. (Switzerland), Intesa SanPaolo (Italy), and Sequana (France). In 2006, he acted as interim Chief Executive Officer of Juventus Football Club (Italy) and led the restructuring of its business.

Mr. Sant’Albano acquired Cushman & Wakefield in 2006 for EXOR and later led the acquisition, restructuring and merger with DTZ Inc. He was involved in the subsequent IPO of Cushman & Wakefield and recently left the firm after being Chief Executive, and CEO of Global Capital Markets and Investor Services.

Mr. Sant’Albano is currently involved in advisory and consulting roles in the non-profit sector. He remains engaged in investing across various industries.

Born in Torino, Italy, Mr. Sant’Albano was educated in Italy, Colombia, Brazil, Scotland and the U.S.A. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
